Entry requirements
  • be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or NZ citizen
  • You will need to be at least 18 years old.
  • Pre-training review to ensure student has the appropriate level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy to achieve the competencies. Where a test result is supplied, it must be within the last 12 months.
  • May require an Immunisation certificate
  • A working with Children Check and in some workplaces, a Police Check, to be accepted into work placement for this qualification

Outline

The Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) prepares you to care for Australian seniors and people with a range of disabilities. This care can take place in residential facilities and in client homes, enabling you to make a real change in their lives. This qualification reflects the role of workers in community and/or residential settings who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing or disability.
