- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You will need to be at least 18 years old.
- Pre-training review to ensure student has the appropriate level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy to achieve the competencies. Where a test result is supplied, it must be within the last 12 months.
- A working with Children Check and in some workplaces, a Police Check, to be accepted into work placement for this qualification

Outline
If you are passionate about the development of young children and want to learn more about providing quality education and care in a range of environments, this course is for you. The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care can provide entry level job opportunities in homes, childcare centres, or school-based environments, with many students going on to study higher level courses while employed within the field.
